Rock Heads in Grand Canyon

Updated: Dec 4, 2021

South Rim overlook and the Bright Angel Bridge Trail, Arizona, 2021/6

Grand Canyon National Park, located in northwestern Arizona, is a gorge of the Colorado River, which is often considered one of the wonders of the word. The wonders I found from Grand Canyon and along the sacred Colorado River are those giant rock heads. After I developed a hobby to discover Titans from Google Earth ( see my book "Dog and God" and "Beyond Imagination-Rock Heads from Google Earth), these rocks heads comes very naturally to me wherever I go. Below are a few of many pictures I took from the south rim of Grand Canyon.

There is a trail named "Bright Angel Bridge" which goes down all the way to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. It's one of the prehistory trail the Indians goes to fetch water from the Colorado River at the bottom and now-days people still use donkey to carry foods to the camps at the bottom.

There are so many vivid rock heads along the trail that I can hardly move without stoping to look at them. following pictures are only a few of them. When you come to hike at this trail, please pay attention to the rocks. you will find these many Angels' Heads from the ocean bed over 6 million years ago are right on the road blessing everyone passing it.
